About the role

Lead technical direction and execution across projects within the Hiring Assistant team
Partner with engineers, PMs, and designers to shape architecture and shipping strategies
Mentor teammates through design reviews, pairing, and leveling up craft
Write production code across the stack (Ruby, Rails, React, Postgres)
Support AI-driven development by integrating generative and assistive tooling into the product
Improve workflows, reliability, and development velocity through strong technical leadership
Serve as a senior individual contributor shaping technical direction (non-managerial role)

6+ years of full-stack engineering experience, including Ruby and React
Experience setting technical direction and supporting team-wide decisions
A strong product mindset with a bias toward collaboration and iteration
Deep knowledge of scalable architecture, performance optimization, and modern testing practices
Comfortable mentoring engineers and enabling others to thrive
Experience leveraging AI tools in engineering workflows (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf)
Experience writing production code across the stack (Ruby, Rails, React, Postgres)
