About the role

  • Lead technical direction and execution across projects within the Hiring Assistant team
  • Partner with engineers, PMs, and designers to shape architecture and shipping strategies
  • Mentor teammates through design reviews, pairing, and leveling up craft
  • Write production code across the stack (Ruby, Rails, React, Postgres)
  • Support AI-driven development by integrating generative and assistive tooling into the product
  • Improve workflows, reliability, and development velocity through strong technical leadership
  • Serve as a senior individual contributor shaping technical direction (non-managerial role)

Requirements

  • 6+ years of full-stack engineering experience, including Ruby and React
  • Experience setting technical direction and supporting team-wide decisions
  • A strong product mindset with a bias toward collaboration and iteration
  • Deep knowledge of scalable architecture, performance optimization, and modern testing practices
  • Comfortable mentoring engineers and enabling others to thrive
  • Experience leveraging AI tools in engineering workflows (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf)
  • Experience writing production code across the stack (Ruby, Rails, React, Postgres)
