About the role
- Own and operate the enterprise infrastructure delivery model, including internal teams, managed service providers, and strategic vendors
- Lead, mentor, and develop infrastructure team members and/or vendor-managed resources
- Establish clear accountability, performance expectations, and escalation paths
- Partner with Solution Architecture and Cybersecurity to ensure infrastructure designs align with security, compliance, and scalability standards
- Define and maintain the infrastructure roadmap aligned with business strategy, cybersecurity requirements, SOX controls, and long-term scalability
- Drive modernization, standardization, and simplification across infrastructure platforms
- Lead cloud strategy execution, including hybrid architecture, scalability, resilience, and cost governance
- Design infrastructure solutions that are secure by design, future-ready, and capable of supporting business growth
- Own availability, reliability, and performance of networking, compute, storage, and cloud platforms
- Ensure stable, resilient operations across data center and cloud environments
- Implement proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and incident prevention practices
- Ensure infrastructure consistently supports enterprise applications, analytics platforms, and evolving business needs
- Ensure infrastructure services are aligned with Cybersecurity policies, standards, and architectural principles
- Own and maintain infrastructure controls supporting SOX compliance, including continuous review and improvement of control effectiveness
- Partner with Cybersecurity and Audit to implement secure configurations, access controls, logging, and monitoring
- Own infrastructure budgets, including cloud spend, licensing, and support contracts
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and SLAs to ensure delivery against performance, security, and compliance expectations
- Lead infrastructure initiatives from planning through execution
- Actively manage timelines, dependencies, risks, and resource constraints
- Identify opportunities to improve resiliency, scalability, security, and cost efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure roles
- Proven experience leading infrastructure teams and/or managed service providers
- Deep knowledge of networking, compute, storage, and enterprise infrastructure platforms
- Strong experience with cloud technologies (Azure and/or AWS)
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, etc.)
- Knowledge of identity and directory services (Active Directory, Entra ID, LDAP)
- Experience aligning infrastructure with cybersecurity frameworks and compliance requirements (SOX, TISAX, ISO, etc.)
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Relevant certifications (ITIL, CISSP, cloud certifications) preferred
