💰 $80,000 - $90,000 per year

About the role

  • Manage day-to-day operations of assigned residential properties
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners and tenants, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
  • Coordinate leasing activities, including managing make-ready work, creating marketing materials, conducting showings, screening applications, onboarding new tenants and conducting move-in and move-out inspections
  • Ensure timely rent collection and manage delinquency processes
  • Oversee property maintenance and repairs progress along with the Maintenance Coordinator
  • Manage ongoing process of lease renewals including market analysis, collaboration with owner and negotiating with tenants
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance and upkeep
  • Ensure adherence with local, state, and federal housing regulations
  • Maintain accurate records, leases, and documentation

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in residential property management
  • DC Property Manager License (preferred, but we’ll help you get it if not)
  • Strong knowledge of property management practices and housing regulations
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proven ability to manage vendors and maintenance operations
  • Proficiency with property management software (Propertyware preferred) and Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings when necessary
  • Reliable transportation to conduct property visits
