About the role
- Support plasma cutting operations by preparing detailed drawing files and collaborating closely with the production team to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and create CNC files for plasma cutting tables to produce parts for fabrication.
- Apply industry and company standards in preparation and review of drawings, details, and diagrams.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of drop materials to maximize utilization of materials and reduce scrap generated during processing.
- Fill in for shop personnel within the department as needed; work in shop environment when required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
- 1 year of experience drafting or CNC programming
- 1 year of experience with AUTOCAD 2D
- Excellent reading, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Advanced Math Skills - Architectural, Trigonometry
- API 650/653 Experience a plus
- Willingness to work in a shop environment and fill in for shop personnel as needed
