About the role
- Build and close a pipeline of online payments merchants (SMBs → mid-market)
- Run the full sales cycle: prospect → discovery → solutioning → proposal → close → handoff
- Sell across key surfaces: payment gateway/checkout, payment links/invoices, platform/API integrations, plugins (e.g., Shopify/WooCommerce/Wix), and merchant onboarding flows
- Maintain strong conversion hygiene: qualified pipeline, close plans, weekly forecasting
- Build a partner network of agencies and SME enablers that consistently refer/implement HitPay
- Enable partners with training, collateral, demo flows, and clear handoff processes
- Identify and pursue platform partnerships (eCommerce platforms, SaaS, marketplaces) where relevant
- Develop Malaysia GTM: target segments, ICPs, vertical hypotheses, and weekly execution plans
Requirements
- 5+ years in B2B sales / BD in payments, fintech, or eCommerce SaaS
- Proven experience selling eCommerce payment gateways/online payments in Malaysia
- Strong grasp of typical integrations: APIs, plugins, checkout flows, web agency implementations
- Track record of closing direct merchants and building partner pipelines (agencies/SIs/enablers)
- Comfortable with consultative selling: diagnosing merchant setup, payment methods fit, and implementation path
- Strong written/spoken English (Bahasa Melayu is a plus)
