About the role

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve and exceed sales targets for Hitachi's ETRM solutions.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within the energy trading and utilities sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, trading managers, risk managers, and IT professionals.
  • Conduct in-depth needs analysis with prospective clients to understand their business challenges and demonstrate how Hitachi's ETRM solutions can address them.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals tailored to client requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with pre-sales engineers, product management, and professional services teams to ensure seamless client engagement and solution delivery.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to secure profitable agreements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales forecasts and pipeline data within the CRM system.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes affecting the ETRM market.
  • Represent Hitachi at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of proven sales experience in enterprise software, with a strong focus on ETRM, CTRM, or similar complex financial/commodity trading systems.
  • Deep understanding of the energy trading lifecycle, including front, middle, and back office operations (e.g., deal capture, risk management, scheduling, settlement, accounting).
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a complex sales cycle and build long-term client relationships.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Ability to travel as required.
