About the role

  • Serve as the strategic partner to senior customer executives
  • Build trust, strengthen alignment, and ensure a consistent, best‑in‑class customer experience
  • Advocate for customer needs and resolve critical issues efficiently
  • Own and deliver order growth, margin discipline, and share‑of‑wallet expansion
  • Develop and execute the strategic account plan, identifying key opportunities and aligning internal teams to win

  • Participate in cross‑company Account Director communities to share best practices.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, including several years in distribution sales
  • A strong track record managing large, complex customers and influencing across a matrixed environment
  • Experience driving customer satisfaction, resolving difficult issues, and building executive‑level relationships
  • Strong commercial acumen, strategic planning skills, and the ability to navigate pricing and negotiations
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business (MBA preferred)
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build credibility quickly
  • Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel pivot tables and PowerPoint) and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)
  • Ability to travel extensively across the East or Central region
