About the role

  • The primary mission is the proactive commercial management and administration of all civil engineering and installation subcontracts.
  • Efficiently manage all subcontracting contracts from a commercial perspective.
  • Organize and lead subcontract kick-off meetings, and prepare management tools and associated reports.
  • Ensure subcontract administration, including management of reports, NCRs, change orders, notifications, claims and variations.
  • Oversee cost management: payments, cost variances, impacts of changes, claims and unforeseen costs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethics, procurement processes and contractual obligations.
  • Drive cost recovery activities and support final account negotiations regarding scope, schedule and cost.
  • Control financial aspects of subcontracts: payment certifications, invoice verification and coordination with cost control.
  • Maintain effective communication with subcontractors and internal teams; lead subcontract meetings and contribute to project reviews.
  • Execute subcontract close-out activities, compare "as-built" and "as-sold" budgets and document lessons learned.
  • Promote and enforce HSE and Quality standards across all subcontracting activities.

Requirements

  • Degree in civil engineering, construction, cost management or quantity surveying.
  • Minimum 10 years in industrial sectors, preferably in the energy industry.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in subcontract management with strong commercial, contractual expertise and knowledge of the construction sector.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple subcontracts simultaneously, with command of standard and bespoke contracts.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, communication across all levels of the organization and problem-solving in a cross-functional mode.
  • Ability to work independently, with exemplary organization, strong attention to detail and solid risk management skills.
  • Proactive, analytical approach focused on continuous improvement, with a good understanding of subcontracting processes.
  • Fluent in French and English; German, Italian or Spanish would be an asset.
  • International openness and intercultural sensitivity.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, open to feedback and able to manage conflicts constructively.
