About the role

  • Develop knowledge in sustainability and regulatory compliance topics, understanding regulations and their impact on GA.
  • Become the resident expert on topics applicable to GA to be able to explain and discuss with GA stakeholders.
  • SPOC (Single point of contact) representing GA in Hitachi Energy BU level meetings, able to provide input into the discussions.
  • Develop good working relations with the GA Global Product Groups (GPGs) and Hubs, provide regular and ad hoc updates on sustainability topics and regulations.
  • Work closely with the GA sustainability manager, compliance teams and product managers to ensure compliance to regulations.
  • Engage counterparts at other BUs to exchange information and learn/implement best practices, attending workshops where required to input into design of solutions.
  • Coordinate activities on BU and Global projects ensuring activities and inputs are provided on time and of a good quality.
  • Ensure GA is compliant with regulations and escalate any gaps that need to be closed, ensure all sustainability KPIs are met and drive for best in class results across Hitachi Energy.
  • Support supplier risk management activities including business risk and cybersecurity risk as required.
  • Be knowledgeable on Resilinc platform.
  • Other responsibilities may be added as applicable to the role and to support the team.
  • Ability to create and analyze spreadsheets and comfortable working with data.
  • You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline
  • 5 years experience
  • Knowledge in SAP is desirable
  • Ability to work in cross functional organisations
  • Comfortable working across cultures and countries
  • Strong commercial and legal regulatory knowledge or willing to learn
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a sense of ownership and accountability
  • Structured, team-oriented, and results-driven
  • Analytical thinker with problem-solving capabilities
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal).
