About the role
- Independently manage weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll cycles across diverse employee groups.
- Review and verify timecard entries; work closely with supervisors to resolve any discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate integration of new hire data across payroll and benefits platforms.
- Maintain and troubleshoot system interfaces with external vendors.
- Perform complex payroll calculations, including garnishments, levies, commissions, and insurance deductions.
- Manage payroll tax registrations and updates across multiple states.
- Prepare and distribute W-2 forms and other year-end payroll reports.
- Act as the primary contact for payroll-related questions and issue resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5–7 years of hands-on payroll experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and multi-state tax requirements.
- Experience with Workday and UKG Pro preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Exposure to international payroll is a plus.
