About the role
- Provide strategic and technical leadership for the engineering department, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of projects across manufacturing, process improvement, and product development
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers, designers, and support staff; set clear expectations and foster professional growth
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, production, and maintenance to optimize efficiency and reduce downtime
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, schedules, and resources to deliver projects on time and within scope
- Ensure all designs, processes, and equipment comply with regulatory, safety, and quality standards
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen manufacturing capabilities and product quality
- Act as a technical resource for troubleshooting, problem-solving, and evaluating new technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline); advanced degree a plus
- 8+ years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role
- Strong background in manufacturing environments, with exposure to process optimization, capital projects, or product development
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills with proven ability to lead teams through complex challenges
- Proficiency in engineering software, CAD tools, and project management systems
- Demonstrated success in building collaborative relationships across departments and influencing at all levels of an organization
