About the role

  • Clip long-form podcast and video content into short-form videos for social platforms
  • Edit videos optimized for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and similar channels
  • Add captions, framing, pacing, and visual polish to maximize retention
  • Maintain consistency in style, formatting, and quality across outputs
  • Identify strong moments, hooks, and narrative beats within long-form content
  • Understand platform-specific formats and adjust edits accordingly
  • Iterate based on performance signals and feedback
  • Balance speed with quality in a high-volume content environment
  • Work closely with content, marketing, or growth teams
  • Follow editing guidelines while contributing thoughtful improvements
  • Deliver assets on time and keep workflows organized

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience editing short-form videos for social media
  • Strong proficiency with video editing tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar
  • Clear understanding of social media formats, pacing, and viewer behavior
  • Strong attention to detail in captions, timing, and visual consistency
  • Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality
  • Clear written communication and comfort working remotely
  • Nice to Have: Experience editing podcast clips or creator-led content, Familiarity with social-first storytelling and audience retention strategies, Experience working with global or consumer-facing media brands, Motion graphics or light animation skills
