About the role
- Directs routine night shift operations for facilities support
- Supports ship construction, repair, refueling and overhaul, manufacturing shops, and waterfront support
- Directs immediate actions to be taken in emergencies and maintains necessary direct contact with pertinent parties
- Ensures a safe and healthful environment by auditing the workplace and reinforcing safety commitments
- Supervise employees or outside contractors performing maintenance and repair tasks
- Organizes night shift management and conducts self-assessments of functions
Requirements
- Apprentice Certification
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- 8 years of applicable, progressive technical, professional and/or supervisory work experience
- Thorough understanding of construction, manufacturing processes, and operations
