About the role

  • Act as a DevOps evangelist, embedding DevOps principles across engineering teams
  • Lead and mentor a small team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Partner with engineering leadership to align infrastructure and delivery practices with business goals
  • Define and execute the DevOps and cloud roadmap
  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure (primarily GCP, with openness to Azure)
  • Ensure environments are secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-optimized
  • Optimize the full infrastructure, with a focus on modernizing, hardening security and enhancing monitoring.
  • Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment workflows
  • Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure reproducible and auditable environments
  • Drive automation across infrastructure provisioning, application delivery, and operational tasks
  • Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system health and performance
  • Define and enforce security best practices across the development lifecycle
  • Support incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous reliability improvements

Requirements

  • Strong experience with GCP (preferred) or Azure
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build
  • Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (GKE or equivalent)
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
  • Scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or equivalent
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking and security best practices
  • Experience supporting relational and/or NoSQL databases in cloud environments
  • Proven experience mentoring or leading DevOps engineers
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
  • Ownership-driven, proactive, and pragmatic approach to problem solving
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on reliability and system quality
  • Comfortable working autonomously while collaborating across teams
  • Passion for optimization, automation, and continuous learning.
