About the role
- The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for directing the activities of licensed and non-licensed personnel who provide health care & nursing services to clients within Hickory Recovery Network.
- Responsible for maintaining operations of the Nursing Service Department to ensure quality client care is maintained according to regulations and facility policies.
- TB testing and scheduling COVID testing and tracking.
- Maintenance of medical records and supplies.
- Leading infection control efforts and administration of vaccines.
- Covering nursing shifts as required during emergencies or staff absences.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school for professional nurses and licensed in good standing in the state where work will be performed.
- Valid RN license
- At least 2 years prior experience as an RN preferably with hospital and behavioral health experience
- At least one year of supervision experience in the nursing field.
- Certified BLS provider.
- Satisfactory OIG exclusions and background check.
- Satisfactory personal & professional references.
