About the role

  • Oversee the full creative function for Hi-Altitude’s brands, shaping visual identity, guiding creative strategy, and producing compelling work across digital, brand, product, and customer experience touchpoints.
  • Lead a growing team of designers and collaborate closely with marketing, product, and leadership to translate insights into high-impact creative that performs.
  • Onboard new creative talent including direct response designers, UI/UX designers, email designers, and performance-focused designers.
  • Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback aligned with company goals and OKRs.
  • Champion a culture of innovation, creative excellence, collaboration, and data-informed iteration.
  • Own and evolve the visual identity systems for Hi-Altitude’s brand portfolio.
  • Maintain and develop brand guidelines, style guides, design systems, and visual toolkits.
  • Ensure cohesive and consistent creative execution across paid media, email, social, website, packaging, and all in-market brand touchpoints.
  • Shape and safeguard a modern, approachable, California-inspired aesthetic throughout the portfolio.
  • Lead creative strategy for campaigns, new product launches, packaging, websites, and overall brand storytelling.
  • Manage creative development for key marketing channels, including paid media (Google/Bing, Meta/TikTok), lifecycle marketing (email/SMS), and ecommerce/site design.
  • Deliver high-quality, conversion-focused creative that meets channel-specific performance benchmarks while upholding brand integrity.
  • Balance rapid production needs with the ongoing evolution of long-term brand identity.
  • Translate marketing insights and performance data into creative improvements through structured A/B testing, iteration, and optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and cross-functional leaders to prioritize initiatives and deliver creative assets on time and at a high standard.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in creative roles, including 5+ years in a senior leadership or team management position**
  • Direct leadership of creative teams of 5–10+ people, with demonstrated ability to manage workload, prioritize projects, and develop talent**
  • Experience across both brand-building creative and performance/direct-response creative—comfortable producing work that elevates brand identity and meets channel-specific performance goals**
  • Proven track record of delivering creative that drives commercial outcomes (e.g., CTR, CPA, ROAS, conversion rate) while maintaining strong brand standards**
  • Robust portfolio showcasing digital campaigns, brand identity work, paid media assets, and performance-oriented creative**
  • DTC or e-commerce experience with an understanding of rapid testing cycles, data-informed decision-making, and high-volume creative production**
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, remote-first environment with multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities**
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred—but equivalent experience and a strong portfolio will be fully considered**
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and Canva**
  • Familiarity with Figma or Sketch for UI/UX collaboration**
  • Experience using project management tools such as Asana, Monday.com, or similar**
  • Bonus: Exposure to Klaviyo, Shopify, or comparable e-commerce and lifecycle tools**
  • Experience in supplements, wellness, beauty, or health-related industries, with an understanding of compliance considerations for claims and visuals**
  • Working knowledge of Shopify Plus, including collaborating on site updates and UX enhancements**
  • Background supporting subscription or retention-focused creative, including lifecycle campaigns**
  • Experience collaborating with external creative, media, or performance agencies, including providing briefs, reviewing assets, and optimizing based on insights
