About the role

  • Lead strategic exercises such as review of a potential new product or market, assessing internal improvement areas, etc., that will inform the long-term planning of the company.
  • Proactively identify long-term opportunities and strategic “big bets” for the company by consolidating input from several sources including external market developments, competitor moves and own assessment, to assess, evaluate ROI and propose the most impactful initiatives.
  • Support the development and sign-off of the company’s annual business plan, which captures the company’s strategy and targets and will include the selected initiatives.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, dashboards and other reports to communicate findings to relevant stakeholders (e.g. senior management).
  • Collaborate with senior leaders across functions to align the organization’s goals and priorities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, a strategic planning department, a “Special Projects” team, a senior product manager position or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading business strategy initiatives, ideally in financial services or a forex organization.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence and drive results in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to find solutions and workarounds in business problems (e.g. when data is incomplete).
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Other languages considered a plus.
  • BA/BSc or MSc in Economics, Engineering, Business or a related discipline.
  • An MBA or other advanced degree will be considered a plus.
  • A self-starter with a strong work ethic, who can work independently and proactively identify next steps.
