About the role
- Managing all phases of capital projects from initial concept inception through final completion
- Leading multidisciplinary capital projects with accountability for safety, cost, schedule, quality, and performance
- Defining project scope, business case, objectives, risks, and execution strategy in collaboration with stakeholders
- Building, leading, and holding accountable cross-functional project teams
- Directing engineering design, managing consultants, and facilitating stakeholder design reviews
- Leading procurement and contracting activities including RFPs, bid evaluations, and vendor selection
- Planning and executing construction activities, coordinating contractors and site stakeholders
- Managing project controls to maintain schedules, forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics
- Communicating project progress, milestone completion, and risks to management
Requirements
- A minimum of fifteen years in petrochemical or refining industry
- Ten years in a project management related role
- Experience managing projects >$50 million
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or in lieu of degree 20 years of project and construction management experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft products and project management software tools
- Familiarity with standards and engineering practices
- Design oversight and the ability to marshal, motivate and manage resources
