About the role
- Manage the business opportunity and competitive analysis function across the Commercial group.
- Manage and develop the Strategic planners/business opportunity managers (BOMs).
- Work with the financial organization and long-term forecasting group to drive and develop multi-year asset business models.
- Lead the development of asset and business strategic improvement plans.
- Coordinate across commercial, operations and financial organization to ensure capital forecasts and key strategies are well understood.
- Collect and analyze competitor information to evaluate performance and opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Execute in-depth analysis of industry dynamics and trends that impact competitiveness and profitability.
Requirements
- A minimum of 15 years of refining and/or renewables experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years’ refinery or renewables economics and planning experience required.
- Experience leading/managing high functioning teams required.
- Economic evaluation of large capital projects preferred.
- Financial and competitive analysis and gap closure planning for refining and/or renewables preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced reading and writing skills required.
- Strong verbal communication skills and negotiation skills required.
- Proficient and demonstrated ability working with spreadsheets, word processing, electronic mail and database applications required.
- Advanced ability to identify discrepancies and determine alternative courses of action required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products, Excel and PowerPoint in particular required.
