About the role

  • Acquire net-new HHS customers and expand whitespace opportunities across specific programs and segments within NIH, CDC, CMS, FDA, and other HHS operating divisions.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans that drive pipeline growth, competitive displacement, and long-term account expansion.
  • Lead complex federal pursuits by aligning HPE’s portfolio (AI, HPC, hybrid cloud, storage, networking, and services) with HHS mission priorities such as public health data, biomedical research, and healthcare modernization.
  • Build executive relationships with HHS decision makers including CIO organizations, research leaders, program executives, and acquisition officials.
  • Orchestrate internal teams and partner ecosystems including engineering, specialists, system integrators, and channel partners to win strategic opportunities.
  • Drive pipeline creation and deal closure through disciplined opportunity management and strong understanding of federal procurement strategies.
  • Position HPE as a trusted advisor supporting HHS initiatives related to health data platforms, AI-enabled research, clinical analytics, and large-scale scientific computing environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 6+ years of enterprise technology sales experience, with strong exposure to Federal Civilian or Public Sector accounts.
  • Proven hunter experience acquiring net-new logos and expanding whitespace opportunities.
  • Demonstrated success selling complex infrastructure or platform solutions (AI, HPC, hybrid cloud, networking, storage, or data platforms).
  • Experience navigating federal procurement vehicles and acquisition processes within Civilian agencies.
  • Proven ability to develop and close multi-million-dollar strategic opportunities in complex federal environments.
  • Experience working with federal system integrators, consulting partners, and channel ecosystems supporting federal healthcare programs.
  • Ability to build strategic pursuit plans and execute opportunities from early engagement through contract award.
