About the role
- Responsible for sales of Zerto storage products and other solutions within the assigned territory, industry or accounts
- Creates and drives the Zerto storage sales pipeline
- Captures leads outside of specialization and uses closed-loop lead management to ensure assignment and follow-up by others
- Collaborates with account pursuit teams to leverage their solutions expertise for business development
- Builds sales readiness and reduces client learning curve through effective knowledge transfer in storage
- Contributes to the development of quota objectives and the future direction for Zerto storage product lines
- Directs and coordinates supporting sales activities related to pipeline hygiene through account managers, presales, channel partners and other relevant stakeholders
- Effectively uses internal sales tools to maintain a healthy pipeline and keep the account plan up to date in a timely fashion
- Collaborates across HPE teams to deliver a consistent approach to business development, including account planning for end-to-end solutions
- Assesses solution feasibility from both technical and business perspectives to determine “qualify-in”/“qualify-out” status
- Negotiates and drives profitable deals to ensure successful closure and a high win rate
- Drives sales of the storage portfolio, using strong leadership and initiative to successfully prospect, negotiate and close deals
- Establishes a professional, consultative relationship with clients by developing an in-depth understanding of each client’s unique business needs within the industry
Requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience in consultative software solution selling required
- Experience in data protection preferred
- Experience at a major storage solutions vendor (HPE, Dell/EMC Data Protection, Pure, NetApp, etc.) or at a data protection specialist (preferably Veeam, Cohesity, Rubrik, Commvault)
- Infrastructure experience required (cloud or on-premises)
- Experience with value-added resellers (VARs) appreciated
- Business development experience, with potential deal sizes ranging from $0 to over $1M
- Proven experience selling to a variety of customers: enterprise, SMB and large accounts
- Strong relationships within the VAR/reseller/managed service provider ecosystem
- Cybersecurity experience is a plus
- Ability to demonstrate solution value using a proven methodology (preferably MEDIC/MEDDPICC/Force Management)
- University degree (bachelor’s or equivalent) preferred
