About the role
- 80% of time spent on automation and 20% on manual exploratory testing
- Liaises with Product Managers and developers
- Designs, codes, tests, and debugs highly complex software solutions
- Creates, runs and maintains automated tests
- Helps with training new hires and junior staff
- Participates in risk analysis activities
- Attends and contributes to regular projects and team meetings
- Raises defects found during testing and escalates as per procedure
- Contributes to software testing documentation
Requirements
- Computer Science degree or relevant tertiary qualifications
- ISTQB certification
- Competent use of test automation tools
- Ability to identify and analyse problems
- Good product knowledge
- Understanding of business issues linked to the application being tested
