About the role
- Contacts a minimum of 80% of customers within an assigned territory each month
- Utilizes provided tools to target growth within the Independent Medical Distributor and Independent Retail Pharmacy market segments
- Stays informed on promotional programs, competitive products, and merchandising-marketing practices
- Partners with internal departments to assist customers with order status, product returns, pricing discrepancies, and inquiries on account balance
- Places orders over the phone and resolves after-sales inquiries
- Collaborates with Field Sales Consultants and other teams to uncover customer needs
- Assists in collecting past due balances
- Participates in sales meetings, training programs, and industry conventions
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required
Requirements
- 4+ years of related experience
- Strong selling, customer service and negotiation skills
- Excellent telephone etiquette
- Ability to effectively answer inquiries and resolve disputes
- Ability to learn applicable computer systems
- Self motivated with the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
