About the role

  • Contacts a minimum of 80% of customers within an assigned territory each month
  • Utilizes provided tools to target growth within the Independent Medical Distributor and Independent Retail Pharmacy market segments
  • Stays informed on promotional programs, competitive products, and merchandising-marketing practices
  • Partners with internal departments to assist customers with order status, product returns, pricing discrepancies, and inquiries on account balance
  • Places orders over the phone and resolves after-sales inquiries
  • Collaborates with Field Sales Consultants and other teams to uncover customer needs
  • Assists in collecting past due balances
  • Participates in sales meetings, training programs, and industry conventions
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required

Requirements

  • 4+ years of related experience
  • Strong selling, customer service and negotiation skills
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Ability to effectively answer inquiries and resolve disputes
  • Ability to learn applicable computer systems
  • Self motivated with the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
