About the role
- Develop and execute a 12-month individual giving plan across small, mid-level, and emerging major donor tiers
- Build and maintain a portfolio of 100–150 mid-level and emerging major gift donors (discovery, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship)
- Partner with Executive Leadership on top-tier donor cultivation, providing briefing materials and talking points
- Oversee donor-advised funds and support corporate giving initiatives, including employee matching gift programs
- Own annual giving campaigns (end-of-year, spring appeals) and special campaigns (Welcome Week, Giving Tuesday)
- Grow the monthly giving program, manage benefits, upgrade paths, churn reduction, and credit card recovery
- Implement a tiered stewardship system and produce donor-centric materials with Programs and Communications
- Plan and execute donor recognition events, small salons, and volunteer-to-donor conversions
- Secure, track, and manage in-kind donations and ensure proper fulfillment and acknowledgment
- Maintain accurate donor and fundraising records, build dashboards and reports, and ensure compliance with gift policies
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in nonprofit development or fundraising
- At least 2 years focused on individual giving or annual fund management
- Proven track record of managing donor relationships and meeting revenue goals
- Proficiency with Salesforce
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with major gifts, event-driven fundraising, and in-kind donations (preferred)
- Experience with monthly giving programs, direct mail or digital acquisition campaigns, and board engagement (nice-to-haves)
- Highly organized, tech-savvy across multiple donor systems and detail-oriented
- Candidates must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship available
- Cultural sensitivity and commitment to equity; lived migration experience or additional language fluency (a plus)
