About the role
- Design, develop, and implement integrations with various EHR systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7) and custom APIs
- Own technical implementation for enterprise clients (e.g., Epic/Cerner integrations, partner EMR SDK integrations), manage contracts and be primary client contact
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define integration solutions
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of integration solutions; troubleshoot and resolve issues during testing and deployment
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration processes, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals
- Implement monitoring tools to track integration performance and ensure ongoing support and maintenance
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and recommend improvements to enhance integration processes and outcomes
Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge of integrations and APIs (HL7, SMART on FHIR, SSO, SNOMED, ICD-10, CDI, RCM & billing in EHRs)
- Experience with US EHRs such as Epic, hospital implementations or EHR integrations
- Experience designing, developing, and implementing integrations with EHR systems and custom APIs
- Experience owning technical implementations for enterprise clients and managing external partners
- Experience conducting testing, validation, monitoring, and maintenance of integrations
- Experience creating and maintaining documentation (design specs, test plans, user manuals)
- Experienced working with cross-functional teams (product managers, software engineers, contractors, stakeholders)
- Thrives in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment and passionate about building systems that scale
