About the role
- Reporting to the Head of Global Finance, responsible for accounting across our entities in Europe (France and Spain) and Africa (Algeria, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Mali and Angola).
- Directly manage 2 accountants based in Algiers.
- Work closely with operational teams to provide relevant analyses and recommendations.
- Ensure the reliability, quality and timeliness of accounting.
- Oversee local accounting operations (France, Spain, Algeria, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Mali, Angola).
- Ensure proper application of local accounting and tax standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with external accounting firms and auditors.
- Organize task allocation and set priorities.
- Lead monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
Requirements
- 8 to 10+ years of accounting experience, including experience in a structured or multi-entity environment
- Previous experience managing a team (or a strong interest in management)
- Comfortable working in international / multi-country environments
- Fluent in French (required) and ideally English
- Advanced Excel skills
- Structured and rigorous, with a focus on continuous improvement and impact
- Ability to step back, take perspective and prioritize
