  • <p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p><p><em>Responsibilities:</em></p><ul> <li> <strong>CRM Management. </strong>Consistently maintain donor, prospect, and fundraising activity information in our customer relationship management system (currently Bloomerang) and leverage this information to track progress, monitor gaps, and adjust strategy and approach&nbsp;for each team member’s portfolio.</li> <ul> <li>Data – Analysis: Regularly assessing individuals’ progress to goals, identifying what is driving and impeding progress, developing solutions to address gaps, and adjusting course as necessary</li> <li>Maintain meticulous records of donor engagement</li> <li>Ensure timely processing and prompt acknowledgement of donations secured</li> </ul> <li> <strong>Donor Management.</strong> Manage, cultivate, and steward a portfolio of donors, ensuring that the CEO and other primary solicitors are well equipped to engage at all stages of the donor life cycle. </li> <ul><li>This includes prepping emails, drafting proposals and thinking strategically about the programmatic initiatives.</li></ul> <ul><li>At the outset, the Development Manager will be expected to assist the CEO and other solicitors with the&nbsp;management, cultivation, and stewardship of donors, and then develop a proven strategy to develop and manage their own portfolio of donors (ranging from $5K to $25K giving levels).&nbsp; </li></ul> <li> <strong>Team Collaboration.</strong> Collaborate with regional staff to support local ambassadors and create high-touch donor experiences. </li> <ul> <li>In partnership with the Executive Team, support the creation and implementation of a new donor acquisition strategy to increase funding from corporations, individuals, and foundations through online giving, funder campaigns, events and proposals. </li> <li>Manage external consultants in marketing and grants to meet revenue goals and elevate brand by expanding local exposure and developing new partnerships.</li> </ul> <li> <strong>Communication.</strong> Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and build relationships with high-net-worth individuals. Demonstrate strong skills in writing compelling, mission-driven stories that motivate donors and drive philanthropic support.</li> <li> <strong>Events.</strong> Work with Director of Events to design and implement effective fundraising, networking and cultivation events.</li> <li> <strong>Data Analysis and Reporting.</strong> Design monthly reports using a variety of engagement metrics to track performance and share insights with leadership. Leverage data to inform and refine development strategies.</li> </ul><p></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><em>Qualifications:</em></p><ul> <li>Minimum 3 to 4 years in development, preferably within a small to mid-sized organization.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree.</li> </ul><p><em><br>Skillset:</em></p><ul> <li> <strong>Technical Proficiency</strong>: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems are required (or a willingness to learn). Desktop publishing/graphic design skills preferred (PPT or Canva; or a willingness to learn). </li> <li> <strong>Analytical Skills</strong>: Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to interpret data and metrics, including fundraising financials, to trouble-shoot and improve development.</li> <li> <strong>Autonomy</strong>: Demonstrated success working independently in a strategic capacity.</li> <li> <strong>Time Management:</strong> Ability to effectively balance multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. </li> <li> <strong>Cultural Competence:</strong> Ability to effectively and respectfully communicate, collaborate, and connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds, identities, and experiences. Preferred experience working in and with racially, ethnically, and socioeconomically marginalized communities. </li> <li> <strong>Growth Mindset:</strong> A commitment to personal and professional development, consistently striving for improvement. </li> <li> <strong>Language Skills:</strong> Bilingual proficiency is a plus.</li> </ul><p><em><br>Physical Requirements:</em></p><ul> <li>Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li> <li>Ability to travel for occasional events and donor meetings. </li> <li>Available to travel for annual staff training and company retreat 1 – 2 times a year.</li> </ul>
