About the role
- Provide assistance to Biomedical Engineering Technologists in the performance of their duties.
- Expose and familiarize students to medical equipment and the hospital environment.
- Responsible for performance assurance of medical equipment and accessories.
- Carry out specifically assigned tasks relating to simple equipment repair and incoming inspection.
Requirements
- Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
- Currently enrolled in a recognized Electronic Technologist program (Biomedical Engineering Diploma Program preferred).
- Proficiency in PC use and office productivity software applications such as word processor, spreadsheet and database preferred.
- Must have good mechanical aptitude and experience working with simple electronic test and repair equipment (DVM, soldering iron, de-soldering iron and hand tools).
- Position requires interpersonal and communication skills, willingness to learn, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, personal organizational skills, and a customer service focus.
