About the role

  • Oversee and manage multidisciplinary teams composed of direct and indirect patient care staff
  • Lead and ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and efficient patient care
  • Inspire and guide staff to embrace and implement integrated, person-centred care and service delivery models for CancerCare Manitoba
  • Responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the School of Radiation Therapy
  • Determine education and training needs for students and staff
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with accreditation requirements
  • Accountable for providing patient-centric operational management in a financially responsible manner
  • Collaborate with leadership, internal teams, and external partners to support patients accessing quality cancer services
  • Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators
  • Ensure safe, effective, and appropriate patient care through the clinical quality framework and a patient-centric approach
  • Cultivate an environment that promotes clinical and service excellence

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant health discipline from an accredited education institution
  • A relevant graduate degree is an asset
  • Certificate in Adult Education preferred
  • 5 years of progressive management experience leading a broad spectrum of patient services in a publicly funded health services delivery organization
  • 5 years of experience working in Radiation Therapy
  • 3 years of experience organizing, coordinating and leading education and training programs
  • 2 years of experience developing, implementing, and evaluating education strategies and activities
  • 2 years of management experience leading a clinical operations team within a unionized environment is desired
  • 2 years of experience implementing program planning, development and evaluation
  • An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Demonstrated strong organizational, interpersonal, communications and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple requests
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant healthcare-related management courses are an asset
  • Experience managing projects with multi-disciplinary internal and external stakeholders
  • Commitment to accuracy and detail strong computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio)
  • Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technology (CAMRT) registration required
