About the role
- Oversee and manage multidisciplinary teams composed of direct and indirect patient care staff
- Lead and ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and efficient patient care
- Inspire and guide staff to embrace and implement integrated, person-centred care and service delivery models for CancerCare Manitoba
- Responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the School of Radiation Therapy
- Determine education and training needs for students and staff
- Ensure ongoing compliance with accreditation requirements
- Accountable for providing patient-centric operational management in a financially responsible manner
- Collaborate with leadership, internal teams, and external partners to support patients accessing quality cancer services
- Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators
- Ensure safe, effective, and appropriate patient care through the clinical quality framework and a patient-centric approach
- Cultivate an environment that promotes clinical and service excellence
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant health discipline from an accredited education institution
- A relevant graduate degree is an asset
- Certificate in Adult Education preferred
- 5 years of progressive management experience leading a broad spectrum of patient services in a publicly funded health services delivery organization
- 5 years of experience working in Radiation Therapy
- 3 years of experience organizing, coordinating and leading education and training programs
- 2 years of experience developing, implementing, and evaluating education strategies and activities
- 2 years of management experience leading a clinical operations team within a unionized environment is desired
- 2 years of experience implementing program planning, development and evaluation
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Demonstrated strong organizational, interpersonal, communications and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple requests
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant healthcare-related management courses are an asset
- Experience managing projects with multi-disciplinary internal and external stakeholders
- Commitment to accuracy and detail strong computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio)
- Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships
- Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technology (CAMRT) registration required
