About the role
- Responsible for delivery of campus infrastructure planning program
- Producing feasibility analysis of internal/external projects
- Contract administration of various construction projects
- Project planning and assessing design & engineering feasibility
- Identifying scope of work, producing design concepts, estimates and construction drawings
- Coordinating construction start up meetings and acting as Hospital representative
- Liaising with consultants and Regional Health Authority
- Conducting regular site visits and ensuring construction conforms to plans and specifications
Requirements
- Minimum of (5) years recent related experience in facilities/capital design
- Project coordination experience in the healthcare field is considered an asset
- Successful completion of a university degree or technical college diploma in an engineering discipline
- Formal training of AUTOCAD tools
- Project management certification is an asset
- Good understanding of financial statements as they relate to construction
- Working knowledge of MS Project software
- Working knowledge of AUTOCAD and document management principles
- Comprehension of Building Code Compliance and application
- Knowledge of health care infrastructure systems and equipment
