About the role
- Highly creative storyteller responsible for design and deployment of messaging campaigns and promotions
- Design visual graphics, presentations, collateral materials and internal communications across various platforms
- Develop, design and publish community and internal publications to increase public awareness of Health Care District programs
- Provide support and planning for internal and external public events and activities
- Assist District departments and staff in preparing and giving presentations when requested
- Provide indirect supervision to other graphic designers and administrative support personnel
- Support content updates and development of the corporate website and social media campaigns
- Attend conferences, workshops and meetings when requested
- Perform emergency duty as required, including work in Red Cross shelters or disaster responses
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Media Arts, Marketing Communications or related field
- Three years of equivalent industry-specific experience may substitute for one year of university-level study
- A combination of experience with high school diploma or GED may substitute for minimum education requirements
- Post-graduate professional experience in graphic design preferred
- Valid Florida Driver's License required
- Proficiency with InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX)
- Strong portfolio of illustrations, video and photography
- Experience designing visual graphics, presentations, collateral materials and internal communications
- Experience with website content updates and social media campaigns
- Ability to provide indirect supervision to other designers and administrative support
- Ability to support and plan for internal and external public events
- Willingness to attend conferences, workshops, meetings and perform emergency duties
