About the role

  • Highly creative storyteller responsible for design and deployment of messaging campaigns and promotions
  • Design visual graphics, presentations, collateral materials and internal communications across various platforms
  • Develop, design and publish community and internal publications to increase public awareness of Health Care District programs
  • Provide support and planning for internal and external public events and activities
  • Assist District departments and staff in preparing and giving presentations when requested
  • Provide indirect supervision to other graphic designers and administrative support personnel
  • Support content updates and development of the corporate website and social media campaigns
  • Attend conferences, workshops and meetings when requested
  • Perform emergency duty as required, including work in Red Cross shelters or disaster responses

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Media Arts, Marketing Communications or related field
  • Three years of equivalent industry-specific experience may substitute for one year of university-level study
  • A combination of experience with high school diploma or GED may substitute for minimum education requirements
  • Post-graduate professional experience in graphic design preferred
  • Valid Florida Driver's License required
  • Proficiency with InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX)
  • Strong portfolio of illustrations, video and photography
  • Experience designing visual graphics, presentations, collateral materials and internal communications
  • Experience with website content updates and social media campaigns
  • Ability to provide indirect supervision to other designers and administrative support
  • Ability to support and plan for internal and external public events
  • Willingness to attend conferences, workshops, meetings and perform emergency duties
