About the role
- Elicit requirements from business users by engaging with stakeholders, running workshops and capturing these in clear, deliverable user stories.
- Engage with technical and QA teams to see these user stories through the SDLC including analysis, build, functional testing, UAT and deployment.
- Conduct impact analysis to tease out both business and technical impacts of requested changes ensuring a smooth delivery without any nasty surprises.
- Become a trusted contact for business users – they need to know that you understand their business, including their pain points, and will deliver meaningful change for them.
- Assess change requests for business value /criticality and ensure that proposed solutions are sustainable and maintainable for Mission going forward.
- Manage internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure expectations are managed and stakeholders are satisfied with deliveries.
- Champion the Digital function within the Mission business, be an ambassador for the team and encourage cross-functional engagement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience required in insurance.
- Must have previous experience with policy admin software implementation.
- Worked using agile methodologies (e.g., Kanban, SAFe, XP, Scrum).
- Client facing experience is required
- Proven success in business requirements gathering, design and development proper documentation for prioritization within the overall roadmap and technology direction
- Demonstrated ability in business facilitation and effective use of project management techniques/tools.
