About the role

  • Setting and applying the right valuation methodology as the portfolio evolves and new asset types are onboarded
  • Running the end-to-end process with third-party valuation agents, keeping it rigorous and on schedule
  • Being the go-to person for valuation queries from fund auditors, AIFMs and investors conducting due diligence
  • Maintaining the fair value hierarchy (levelling) and preparing sensitivity analysis for audited financial statements
  • Owning the production of quarterly Valuation Committee materials and overseeing Level 1 and Level 2 valuations
  • Keeping fund valuation policy and procedures current and fit for purpose
  • Working closely with deal teams, Portfolio Monitoring, Finance and Operations - your work sits at the centre of Hayfin

Requirements

  • 3+ years of valuation experience at a private credit manager, valuation agent or Big 4 valuation team
  • Professional qualification (CFA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA) preferred but not essential
  • Experience with a valuation platform and/or building private credit valuation models is an advantage
  • Ability to take ownership of decisions and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong teamwork ethic, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • High attention to detail and proficiency in Excel
