About the role

  • Integrate HavocOS autonomy stack with aerial flight controllers and onboard compute systems
  • Ensure reliable communication between autonomy software, sensors, and vehicle control systems
  • Develop cooperative behaviors between aerial and maritime autonomous platforms
  • Enable coordinated mission execution across multiple vehicle types
  • Design and run multi-vehicle swarm experiments
  • Develop distributed decision-making and coordination strategies
  • Design and test degraded communications scenarios
  • Ensure autonomy systems operate reliably under contested or intermittent connectivity
  • Conduct autonomy testing in live field environments
  • Support integration, deployment, and operational demonstrations
  • Collect, analyze, and process flight and mission data
  • Use operational data to improve autonomy models and system performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience developing autonomy or robotics systems for UAVs or autonomous platforms
  • Strong programming skills in C++, Rust, Python, or similar languages
  • Experience with distributed systems or multi-agent coordination
  • Experience working with robotics frameworks and real-world systems
  • Comfortable debugging systems in field environments
  • Strong systems-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for U.S. security clearance
