About the role
- Take full ownership of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting for our investment funds and joint ventures
- Inspire, mentor, and elevate a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Evaluate and implement smart, scalable optimizations that meet Havenpark's unique industry needs
- Serve as the go-to authority on GAAP compliance, internal controls, and financial reporting
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with external auditors, tax preparers, and asset managers
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's a plus) is required
- a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is a must
- 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience
- background in real estate (commercial, multi-family, hospitality, or manufactured housing)
- familiarity with joint ventures or private equity is a huge plus
- proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- experience with Sage Intacct, Manage America, or Coupa is a bonus, but your ability to master new systems is what truly counts
