About the role
- Support sound underwriting decisions and profitable commercial growth
- Review, approve, and process commercial applications within individual authority in accordance with underwriting guidelines
- Process changes to commercial policies within assigned authority limits
- Collaborate with other underwriting technicians in a call-center environment
- Maintain consistent professional standards of customer service
- Actively participate in professional development and perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of INS Series coursework or equivalent work experience required
- Demonstrated PC proficiency, including Microsoft Office products
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interpret underwriting guidelines and apply authority appropriately
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
