About the role

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-availability applications using C#
  • Build RESTful Microservice APIs for communication between front-end and back-end systems
  • Implement Azure Functions for serverless computing solutions
  • Utilise Azure API Management (APIM) for secure and scalable API management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions within Hastings Direct
  • Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews

Requirements

  • Strong experience in C# and backend development
  • Proficient in C# with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles
  • Hands-on experience developing and deploying applications using .NET Core 8/10+
  • Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and continuous improvement practices
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and tools such as Octane, Azure DevOps
  • Comfortable working in Visual Studio, Rider and related development tools
  • Desirable: Experience with Azure Functions, Application Insights, App Configuration
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and Agile methodologies
  • Relevant Azure certifications
