About the role
- Key contributor within the CIO Technology Engineering team
- Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining microservices-based applications
- Work closely with senior engineers, architects, and cross-functional scrum teams
- Apply established engineering practices and standards, contribute to code reviews
- Participate in agile ceremonies and take ownership of deliverables
- Troubleshoot issues and continuously improve technical skills and system understanding
- Support junior developers and collaborate across disciplines
Requirements
- Proven experience developing Java-based microservices in a commercial environment
- Experience working in agile delivery teams, with a good understanding of iterative development and collaboration
- Ability to contribute to technical discussions and decision-making, with a growing awareness of architectural principles
- Experience supporting and mentoring junior developers, sharing knowledge and promoting good practices
