About the role
- Own and lead the backend architecture for Harvey’s embedded experiences
- Design and build scalable, reliable backend systems and APIs
- Partner directly with customers to deeply understand their workflows
- Drive technical decisions in a high-autonomy environment
- Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers
- Navigate ambiguity and help define new products
- Mentor engineers and raise the bar on system design
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong track record of designing and building scalable, production-grade systems
- Comfort working close to the product surface and directly with customers
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent context-switching abilities
- A bias toward ownership and action
