About the role

  • Perform detailed review of investor deliverables prepared by the fund administrator including Investor Account Statements, Capital Call Notices, Distribution Notices and Redemption Notices.
  • Assist in the capital call and distribution process, working closely with the Portfolio Management team for Fund cash analyses and projections to determine cash needs or cash availability for distribution.
  • Perform a detailed review of fund-level deliverables prepared by the third-party fund administrator, including but not limited to trial balances, accruals, schedule of investments, fair value adjustments, and waterfall models.
  • Effectively communicate with third-party fund administrator to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Compile AML KYC documents for the third-party fund administrator for acquisitions.
  • Monitor fund-level bank accounts and review financial activity prepared and booked by the fund administrator.
  • Prepare opening and closing entries for acquisitions and dispositions of investments.
  • Provide financial information to the Tax team for tax compliance and provision calculations.
  • Perform detailed review of investment-level financial information for reasonableness and communicate adjustments as necessary.
  • Build an effective working relationship with existing joint venture partners and onboard new joint venture partners.
  • Coordinate with joint venture partners/3rd party managers to obtain property-level financial information
  • Prepare budget to actual variance analysis
  • Work directly with independent auditors throughout the year to complete the fund-level year-end audits.
  • Manage the property level audits with joint venture partners and independent auditors.
  • Continuous improvement attitude. Ability to seek out and implement internal or external best practices.
  • Strong analytical abilities and perseverance to solve problems with high attention to detail.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
  • A minimum of 4+ years of accounting experience with public accounting experience preferred
  • Real estate/Infrastructure or financial services experience preferred
  • CPA license preferred
  • Great interpersonal and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy
  • Good problem-solving and time management skills
