About the role
- Forecast revenue for the annual budget and four monthly outlooks, meet with Finance regularly to align on forecasts
- Key partner with Publisher and APs in strategic sales planning and day-to-day sales needs
- Provide projections and business insights to support editorial acquisitions
- Set seasonal title-level goals and model comps in partnership with APs, aligning responsibly with budget targets
- Partner with publishing on seasonal title positioning
- Monitor preorders and projections; meet with APs to review progress towards distribution targets and address shortfalls and opportunities
- Advocate for title opportunities within Sales
- Work closely with Sales Planning Director and Inventory to provide proactive stock updates on fast-moving titles
- Work with analysts to provide sales reporting at all stages of publication
- Monitor backlist sales at the topline and for key brands
- Maintain excellent relationships with sales reps and leaders
Requirements
- At least 7 years' sales experience with broad knowledge of the marketplace and all sales channels
- Demonstrated history of driving sales growth in key markets
- Cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively to achieve outstanding business results
- Highly organized and analytical; must be able to develop and maintain processes and reporting for regularly assessing sales performance.
