About the role

  • Forecast revenue for the annual budget and four monthly outlooks, meet with Finance regularly to align on forecasts
  • Key partner with Publisher and APs in strategic sales planning and day-to-day sales needs
  • Provide projections and business insights to support editorial acquisitions
  • Set seasonal title-level goals and model comps in partnership with APs, aligning responsibly with budget targets
  • Partner with publishing on seasonal title positioning
  • Monitor preorders and projections; meet with APs to review progress towards distribution targets and address shortfalls and opportunities
  • Advocate for title opportunities within Sales
  • Work closely with Sales Planning Director and Inventory to provide proactive stock updates on fast-moving titles
  • Work with analysts to provide sales reporting at all stages of publication
  • Monitor backlist sales at the topline and for key brands
  • Maintain excellent relationships with sales reps and leaders

Requirements

  • At least 7 years' sales experience with broad knowledge of the marketplace and all sales channels
  • Demonstrated history of driving sales growth in key markets
  • Cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively to achieve outstanding business results
  • Highly organized and analytical; must be able to develop and maintain processes and reporting for regularly assessing sales performance.
