About the role

  • Generally responsible for providing organization, planning, direction, and control of reliability, technical changes/improvements, and technical documentation for a client.
  • Perform complex reliability engineering assignments and planning, organizing, and controlling technical engineering support for a client or clients.
  • Oversee the reliability technical care and condition of client assets in cooperation with the client representative.
  • Assure the defined technical availability of a client plant according to production requirements, with continuous technical improvements, and in conformance to changing requirements with respect to economics, safety, and care for the environment.
  • Plan, manage, and organize reliability engineering and technical support to client plants as assigned by the Director of Reliability.
  • Provide client-specific technical expertise on applying new process developments, equipment innovations, and state-of-the-art reliability and project techniques, ensuring regulatory compliance with technical documentation and maintenance practices.
  • Assist the Director of Reliability in general improvements in client organizations, technical installations, etc., by working on general tasks for the client.
  • Manage technical coordination and support for implementing and sustaining Asset Reliability Processes to improve safety, equipment reliability, and product quality at optimum efficiency and costs by detecting potential failures using predictive technologies.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data.
  • Study operations and failures to lower costs and improve equipment reliability and energy efficiency.
  • Ensure the integrity of the Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and standard procedures.
  • Participate in the development of the Annual Action Plans.
  • Train operators and maintenance on reliability practices.
  • Coach client personnel on reliability practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited university is required.
  • 5+ years of extensive progressive reliability process and plant experience.
  • A comprehensive understanding of business operations and cost management principles.
  • Proficient in identifying and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Strong business acumen and financial analysis skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate high-cost awareness and fiscal responsibility.
  • Capability to integrate business-oriented strategies into operational practices.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • In-depth understanding of reliability engineering principles and practices.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of plant and asset requirements.
  • Expertise in maintenance and project management.
  • Proficiency in applying reliability engineering techniques to various client needs.
  • Ability to provide seasoned reliability and maintenance expertise to clients.
  • Capability to integrate engineering experience with specific plant and asset requirements.
