About the role
- Operate as a freelance 1099 Independent Contractor interpreter for Hanna Interpreting Services LLC.
- Provide interpretation services to bridge communication gaps for clients in need, supporting language access.
- Set your own availability and accept appointments based on your schedule.
- Accept appointments Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm; appointments are not guaranteed and are offered based on need.
- Interpret in settings including medical, legal, and educational environments.
- Complete a skills assessment, background check, and onboarding process if qualified.
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and adaptability while working independently or as part of a team.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and target language with a comprehensive understanding of idiomatic speech and cultural patterns.
- Previous interpreting experience, preferably in medical, legal, or educational settings.
- Demonstrated professionalism, punctuality, and adaptability in the workplace.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate basic communication
- Flexibility to work in different settings and adapt to various work environments.
- Must be located in and authorized to work in the US (We do not offer visa sponsorship).
- High School Diploma or equivalent; or certification in interpreting or related fields.
