About the role
- Hanna Interpreting Services connects bilingual and multilingual individuals with opportunities to serve as freelance interpreters or translators. Operate as a freelance interpreter in a 1099 Independent Contractor role. Provide interpretation services to support language access for clients with limited English proficiency. Set your own availability and accept appointments based on your schedule. Appointments available Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm; appointments are not guaranteed and are offered based on need.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and target language with a comprehensive understanding of idiomatic speech and cultural patterns. Previous interpreting experience, preferably in medical, legal, or educational settings. Demonstrated professionalism, punctuality, and adaptability in the workplace. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to operate basic communication. Flexibility to work in different settings and adapt to various work environments. Must be located in and authorized to work in the US (We do not offer visa sponsorship). High School Diploma or equivalent; or certification in interpreting or related fields.
