About the role
- Handshake is building the career network for the AI economy, connecting students, educational institutions, and employers
- Marketing Working Student (Werkstudent*in) supporting European marketing to build awareness, engage students and universities, and strengthen Handshake’s brand
- Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels
- Support with product launches and communicating feature updates to partners
- Drive engagement for the Handshake feed among Gen Z
- Assist with content creation (social media posts, blogs, email newsletters, presentations)
- Help grow social media presence (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok)
- Conduct market and competitor research to support marketing strategy
- Assist with organisation and promotion of virtual and in-person events
- Coordinate with the European Handshake marketing team to localize content for the German market
Requirements
- Enrolled as a student at a university in Germany (Bachelor’s or Master’s program)
- Strong interest in marketing, communications, or related fields
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
- Creative mindset with attention to detail
- Hands-on mentality and willingness to take initiative
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing trends
- Previous internship, working student experience, or relevant project work in marketing is a plus
