About the role
- Work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of settings to ensure they have a meaningful life.
- Assist individuals with day to day living activities and developing skills in a community setting.
- Create a safe, positive, and encouraging atmosphere for the people we support.
- Provide services to address the wants and needs of people with developmental disabilities, which may include supporting personal goals and facilitating activities.
- Engage participation in recreation, social, and skill-building activities.
- Transport individuals to appointments, community outings, or other destinations.
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.
- Reinforce therapies, including speech, behavioral support, and physical therapy.
- Administer medications and other medical treatment as delegated by an HOH nurse.
- Maintain knowledge of each person’s specialized needs and ensure documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years old.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Experience not required – we will train you!
