About the role
- Join Rebellion, a UK independent developer and publisher (Sniper Elite, Zombie Army, Atomfall)
- QA Analyst responsible for testing games and applications across multiple platforms per test plans
- Produce succinct, well-documented bug reports with reproduction steps and supporting information
- Create and maintain test cases and test scenarios based on game design and requirements
- Test across consoles, PC and different hardware/configurations to ensure compatibility and performance
- Collaborate with Senior Analysts, Leads, developers and designers to report bugs and provide feedback
- Maintain detailed records of testing activities, test plans and results
- Provide feedback on gameplay mechanics, UI and overall user experience
- Follow established testing methodologies, best practices and quality standards
- Role based in Oxford or Warwick studios with relocation support; hybrid options available
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of software testing methodologies
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of bug testing and tracking software (Jira/Redmine, TestRail/TestLink, Confluence/Wiki.js)
- Professional experience of testing current generation of consoles and PC platforms
- Thorough understanding of different game genres, mechanics and platforms
- Strong analytical skills to identify patterns, reproduce issues and troubleshoot problems effectively
- Ability to work closely with developers, designers and other team members when required
- Able to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptable to changing requirements, new tools and emerging technologies; willingness to learn
