About the role

  • Design and implement production-grade Kubernetes architectures (EKS, AKS, GKE) aligned to security, reliability, and scalability best practices.
  • Build and operationalize platform capabilities such as cluster provisioning, workload onboarding, networking, ingress, and observability.
  • Implement automation-first delivery models using GitOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and policy-as-code to accelerate time to value.
  • Lead technical assessments of Kubernetes and cloud-native environments, identifying risks, maturity gaps, and automation opportunities.
  • Deliver Secure Landing Zones, Kubernetes security baselines, and CNAPP-aligned platform controls.
  • Translate regulatory and security requirements into automated, repeatable guardrails for containerized workloads.
  • Design and implement CI/CD and GitOps workflows integrating security, compliance, and runtime controls.
  • Automate cluster lifecycle management, configuration drift detection, and remediation using declarative tooling.
  • Integrate Kubernetes platforms with cloud-native and third-party security tooling (CSPM, CIEM, KSPM, runtime).
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for clients on Kubernetes strategy, platform engineering, and automation maturity.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop service offerings around secure Kubernetes platforms, GitOps adoption, and automated compliance.
  • Collaborate with Practice Directors, Regional Partners, and Cloud Consulting Leads to align platform outcomes to business goals.
  • Mentor junior consultants and engineers on Kubernetes, automation tooling, and secure cloud-native design.
  • Support sales enablement by providing technical input during scoping, solutioning, and proposal development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or cloud security roles across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Hands-on experience designing and operating Kubernetes platforms (EKS, AKS, GKE).
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes networking, identity, workload isolation, and cluster security.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, Pulumi, or CloudFormation).
  • Experience with GitOps tools (Argo CD, Flux) and CI/CD platforms.
  • Strong development skills in Python, Go, or Bash.
  • Experience building automation for platform operations, security controls, and environment provisioning.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes security concepts (RBAC, PSP/OPA/Gatekeeper, network policies).
  • Understanding of CNAPP, CSPM, CIEM, and container/Kubernetes security tooling.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, FedRAMP, HIPAA) and automating control enforcement.
  • Strong consulting acumen with the ability to translate technical solutions into business outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for executive and technical audiences.
