About the role
- Build and lead a team of subject matter experts who will modernize, standardize, and accelerate solution architecture efforts across the organization.
- Architect and scale a world-class delivery model for cloud-native and enterprise-grade solutions, with a strong emphasis on AWS and other leading platforms.
- Spearhead the creation of reusable solution assets, demo environments, delivery playbooks, and golden paths that empower sales and delivery teams to operate with precision and speed.
- Actively support strategic proposal efforts, client marketing initiatives, and brand promotion activities—ensuring our architectural vision is front and center in how we present ourselves to the market.
- Elevate Guidehouse’s standing with strategic partners through thought leadership, technical excellence, and deal-flow influence.
- Identify, recruit, and inspire a high-performing team of architects and engineers, drawing from your personal network and industry reputation.
Requirements
- Minimum 12+ years of experience in solution architecture, cloud engineering, or enterprise application development
- At least 5 years in a leadership role guiding architecture teams or centers of excellence
- Proven track record of building and scaling cloud-native solutions across multiple industries or verticals
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent
- Deep familiarity with modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, containerization, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and API-first design
- Strong understanding of well-architected frameworks, design patterns, and scalable delivery models
- Experience developing demo environments, reusable assets, and delivery playbooks for sales and implementation teams
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, mentor, and lead high-performing teams of architects and engineers
- Strong executive presence with the ability to inspire cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders
- Established network of trusted relationships with cloud providers, ISVs, and industry leaders.
