About the role
- Guidehouse is seeking a hands-on Power BI Senior Consultant to design, configure and develop a custom solution in Power BI
- The candidate will take an active role in leading the development of a custom Power BI dashboard for the client in the Defense and Security Segment
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Drive Power BI implementation through all project phases including discovery, definition, build, test, and deploy
- Lead design and development of data visualization and dashboard solutions
- Lead and review data ingestion, transformation, and cleaning processes using languages and tools such as R, Python, SQL, DAX, Power Query, and Tableau Prep
- Deliver services and solutions for clients using Microsoft’s Power Apps, Power BI, SharePoint, Power Automate, Microsoft Teams, custom development, and data integrations
- Serve as Power BI Subject Matter Expert (SME), with technical expertise including system architecture, solution design, system configuration, and security management
- Present tailored demonstrations of the technology solution
- Help create design documentation for new solutions and functions
- Perform advanced analytics on diverse data to identify trends
- Conduct end-user training and create and maintain knowledge transfer documentation
- Communicate technical information to senior decision-makers and non-technical audiences
- Ensure data governance and quality assurance standards are met
- Work with team members to summarize and report on business process improvements
Requirements
- An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance
- Bachelor's degree
- THREE (3) years of professional experience including TWO (2) years of Power BI development experience and compiling and cleaning data from multiple different sources using programming languages (Python, R, SQL) or low-code/no-code software (Power Query, Tableau Prep)
- Ability to work on client site in Washington, DC metro region 3 days per week
